MR. TEAGUE PRICE, SR. REMEMBERS THE HISTORY OF LOGANSPORT

The audio recording that opens from this Blog. was made by interviewing Mr. Teague Price, Sr. of Logansport, Louisiana.  The original recording was made on magnetic tape before 1976. We converted the audio tape recording to a digital recording about 2012.  The original tape, especially toward the end of the recording had deteriorated through "print-through." There were also a few problems with the recording equipment and conditions of the original recording.  Additional background noise and unrelated voices were introduced during the digitization. Toward the end of the recording, the sound level from the original tape dropped, and it is often difficult to hear. Be prepared to turn the volume up to listen.

However, in spite of all these problems, I think some of you will enjoy listening and learning. If it is ever feasible, I hope someone will create a better digital copy of the original or to edit this version so it is clearer.  Until then, I hope this poor version will prove useful.

Mr. William Teague Price was born on Nov. 9, 1909 and died Aug. 3 1976 at the age of 86.  He was a lifelong resident of Logansport, La., a town his family pioneered.
